The high peaks dominating the Ruta de los Siete Lagos (Ruta 234) serve as a reminder that in Patagonia the lakes are of glacial origin. Over the 100km or so between San Martín de los Andes and Villa La Angostura a series of lakes reflect the sublime landscapes all around.
