The Red Centre is aptly named, with red the dominant colour of the earth and rocks here as well as such famous sites as Ayers Rock, Mount Olga and Kings Canyon. Alice Springs, in the heart of the MacDonnell Ranges, is the only town in this Aboriginal land.
