Apart from its Römerthermen with a huge glass roof, modernized since 1999, Baden has retained numerous villas and a few baths from its grand era. The latter are often used for other purposes but have preserved the charm of their Classical and Biedermeier styles from the first half of the 19C, such as the Josefsbad whose dark yellow dome protects a coffee-house, the Frauenbad, with its portico, that is now an art gallery, or the Leopoldsbad which houses the tourist office.
