Its central feature is the elongated Stadtplatz, lined with houses from various periods and closed to the south by a clock tower. The Glockengiesserhaus, or bell-casters' house, built in 1385, which retains its original workshop, is particularly interesting, as is the nearby Herzogsburg, which now houses a regional museum (Bezirksmuseum).
