Christkindl : Michelin's recommendations

The hamlet of Christkindl, meaning "Christ child", has an elegant pilgrims' chapel, with a charming tradition. Every year, from the end of November to 6 January, the Austrian Postal Service sets up a special Christ the child's post office here, to which Christmas wishes can be sent from all over the world. Letters with enclosed stamped addressed envelopes even receive a reply. In 1999, over 2.2 million letters and cards from all over the world were processed in this post office.
