This vast square, lined with fine houses and closed by the two town gates is in the heart of Gmünd. The imposing New Castle, with wings, (near the Upper Gate) was built from 1651 to 1654 and opens onto a charming garden, the Porsche Park, whose entrance is flanked by two massive lions.
