The Alpine Zoo, located at the foot of the Hungerburg, is an excellent introduction to the study of Alpine fauna that you may stumble across in the wild. It also displays species that are now extinct in the Alps. The site gathers together more than 2,000 animals, with 150 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish, including rare indigenous species of fish.
