This great, rectangular, town centre square boasts the Dragon Fountain (Lindwurmbrunnen), a huge schist monster which has become the town's emblem and was erected by two brothers, Ulrich and Andreas Vogelsang, between 1582 and 1593. Each house has its own history and artistic value. Note, in particular, the successfully rebuilt 18C Porcia palace, the Town Hall from 1580, and Adler chemist's shop with Rococo stuccowork.
