Lermoos : Michelin's recommendations
This small resort occupies an exceptional site in a basin nestling at the centre of the Northern Limestone Alps and on the banks of the River Loisach. It is the best spot from which to admire this group of peaks, dominated by the Zugspitze and the bold pyramid-shaped Sonnenspitze. In between two wonderful walks, visitors can visit the Church of St Katharina, which is an example of the Baroque style of southern Germany, and the little Chapel of Maria Opferung, with its 17C Way of the Cross.
