Lilienfeld : Michelin's recommendations
Lilienfeld is famous for its abbey, but also for the Alpine skiing technique of the same name developed by Mathias Zdarsky in 1897. The small District Popular Art Museum (Bezirksheimatmuseum), housed in a 14C fortified gateway, is devoted to this local celebrity. The striking Nepomuk group (1712), on a bank of the Traisen, is unique in Austria and of special interest.
