This large white building was constructed in 2004 by the Munich architectural practice Friedrich Hoff Zwink. Nicknamed, not without irony, the “shoebox” by the locals, it has a vast exhibition space dedicated to modern art. Its 2 000km2 interior regularly hosts international exhibitions.
