The touching and romantic thing about Salzburg's oldest cemetery, St. Peter's Cemetery, are the chapels cut into the vertical rock face of the Mönchsberg. They are delimited by Baroque arcades and wrought iron grilles and are the last resting places for several generations of the city's patrician families.
