The Schönbrunn Zoofounded 1752is the oldest Baroque zoo in the world. This amazing zoo is home to animals from around the world and is one of the only two zoos in Europe with giant pandas!
Although the founding of The Schönbrunn Zoo goes back to the days of Empress Maria Theresia and her husband Franz Stephan von Lothringen, the Baroqu- architecture style strives to keep harmony between the natural world and the modern age. The breakfast pavilionsituated in the center of the zooemulates the historical beginnings of the zoo, allowing you to feel connected to the past while embracing the future.
You have the opportunity to experience numerous habitats from around the world; habitats that are home to the more than 4,000 animals, including elephants, koalas, giraffes, and giant pandas. Other than Berlin, The Schönbrunn Zoo in Vienna is the only place in Europe where you can see giant pandas; Yang Yang and Long Hui arrived at the zoo in 2003 and act as representatives of their endangered species.
