The Church of the Augustines is steeped in memories of the imperial dynasty. Its original Gothic appearance was restored in the late 18C. It was used for great Court weddings, such as the wedding of Maria Theresa and François of Lorraine in 1736. It contains the fine cenotaph of Archduchess Maria Christina created by Canova in 1805-1809. In the crypt are 54 small silver urns containing the hearts of the Habsburgs.
