Many of the exhibits in the Natural History Museum were part of Emperor Franz-Josef's collection. The Mineralogy section has some remarkable objects such as the bouquet of precious stones, a gift from Maria Theresa to her husband. However, it is the Prehistory section which houses the most famous objects found in Austria, a copy of the Vénus de Willendorf and a number of objects from the Hallstatt tombs.
