The New Palace or Neue Burg, built between 1881 and 1913 in Renaissance style, forms a semi-circle of impressive proportions. Beneath its colonnade, between the large windows stand statues of famous people from the history of Austria. A part of the National Library and four major museums are housed in the Palace, the Ephesos Museum, the Weapons Collection, the Collection of Old Instruments and the Ethnography Museum
