Emperor Maximilian I, The "last knight", died here in 1519. Today, the restored fortified castle houses various museums. One relates the town's history, with an outstanding Biedermeier collection, the Agriculture Museum (Landwirtschaftmuseum), whose theme is " the farmer's year ", the quite unique Austrian Biscuit Museum (Gebäckmuseum), and the Expatriates Museum.
