Running north to south, this long valley flanked by the Kaunertal to the west and the Ötztal to the east is renowned for the extraordinary high mountain landscapes of its hinterland. It opens out onto a cirque glacier dominated by Wildspitze (3 774m), the Tyrol’s highest peak: thanks to the Pitz-Panoramabahn cable car, a fine panorama over the Alps can be viewed from the top of the Hinterer Brunnenkogel.
