This long valley is served by the Kaunertaler Gletscher-Panoramastraße, one of Europe’s highest roads peaking at 2 750m, and making for an ideal excursion. As well as splendid scenery and an important reservoir (at Gepatsch, the largest in western Austria), the Weißseeferner glacier also draws skiers all year round.
