Arriving in the village of Orissaare, visitors will discover its charming little port on the strait, which was the link between the islands before the causeway was built. The town is the region’s commercial hub. 1km away lies Maasi, with the remains of a round fortress of the Livonian Order, destroyed by a fire in 1576.
