Venture outside the city and into the woodlands of Lahemaa National Park, on the coastline of the Finnish Gulf. Once there, explore the breathtaking scenery, visit a fishing village, and tour two historic manor houses.
Located in northern Estonia, Lahemaa National Park was the Soviet Union's first national park when it opened in 1971. Take a shuttle to the park from Tallinn, then hike its wooded paths and learn about the park's 61 protected plant species.
Later, tour the baroque Palmse Manor House and its neighbour, the rococo-style Sagadi Estate. Skilfully restored, both houses exhibit impressive archictecture and refurnished interiors. From there, visit the Altja fishing village and take a break to sample local specialities. With a full and varied itinerary, this tour offers an excellent introduction to Estonian coastal culture.
