This long street runs through the old town from the north, where it begins with Fat Margaret’s tower (housing the Estonian Maritime Museum), through to the south where its main attractions lie in the form of buildings of great architectural interest including guildhalls and merchants’ houses (beginning of the 20C and earlier). Note in particular the Great Guildhall at no17, and the two Art Nouveau buildings facing each other at no18 by Jacques Rosenbaum.
