Behind the door of a fine old merchant’s residence is this museum full of treasures casting light on the lively history of Tallinn. Reconstructions of interiors and scenes from bygone everyday life, domestic objects, portraits of famous figures, posters, photos, model ships… plus more recent items relevant to the city’s fortunes under Soviet rule (which ended in 1991). Not to be missed.
