Built in the 14C, this Gothic, brick church was very damaged in 1944, but has retained a number of the 2 000 terracotta figurines for which it is famous. These sculptures are thought to have been based on Tartu's citizens. The original sculptures are exhibited inside, in a very spare interior with lovely rafters that were built during the restoration of the sanctuary (concerts).
