Lying northeast of Tallinn, this national park provides an opportunity to savour nature at its finest. Most of it 70 000ha is covered by forestry, punctuated by lakes, rivers and waterfalls: plenty of footpaths give visitors the chance to discover these delights in the heart of an unspoilt landscape. There are also villages to be seen, and the Palmse estate, renowned for its house and home to the park information centre.
