When to go
A trip to Latvia will vary immensely depending on the time of year.
Summer (June-late August) or peak tourist season: countless festivals.
Winter (November-March): snowfall and short days.
Spring and autumn: both seasons are brief and often quite rainy, but spring is bright and cheerful.
Time difference
Latvia is on GMT+2 (October-February) and GMT+3 (March-September), so, when it is 12noon in London, it is 2pm in Riga.
Latvia switches to and from daylight saving time on the last Sunday of March and October.
Documents
