Lined by 16C-19C houses, the pedestrianised Vilniaus Street is the main artery of the historic centre of Kaunas. This middle-European scene would not be out of place in Sibiu (Romania) or Ceské Budejovice (Czech Republic). The view westwards is especially good, with the bell towers of Rotuses Square in the distance. Note the brick house at n°7. Its tiled roof undulates to allow for little dormer windows.
