This pleasant street lined by colourful low houses is enlivened by numerous businesses. Crossing a little park leads to the church of the Assumption (n°9). As with the rest of this old quarter (“Piaski” or sand district), this Franciscan church is in disrepair, but renovation is planned. At the top of the street, two muscular statues support the balcony of the elegant Empire Tyszkiewicz house. Opposite, a niche in the Umiastowski building houses the shield statue of the guardian of the city.
