Surrounded by a group of houses that it dominates with its glass dome, the Product Exchange stands on four streets in a cross formation. The first exchange was built by D de Waghemakere. It soon outgrew itself and was added to with another building by the same architect in 1531. The building was very busy during the 16C but was destroyed by a fire in 1858, and rebuilt in 1872 in the same style. Its interior hall contains a series of galleries and is topped by a glass canopy.
