The statue of the Virgin Mary in the garden stands under the hawthorn where the visions took place. The stones on which the children knelt have been preserved. The Crypt of St John is adorned with colourful ceramics of the Stations of the Cross by Max van der Linden. The monumental chapel stained-glass windows date from 1963-64. The esplanade and its tiers of seats are overlooked by the glass façade of the concrete complex built by R. Bastin in 1968 which includes the great crypt and upper church.
