This churhc was built in the 17C in the Gothic style, that had been all but overtaken by the Classical or Baroque. It was lavishly furnished, with a rood screen, panelling, confessionals and a pulpit. The Belgian Flemish poet Guido Gezelle (1830-1899), born in Bruges, was baptised here.
