Atomium Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

The Atomium was created for the Universal Exhibit of 1958. Designed by the engineer André Waterkeyn, it represents a ferrous crystal molecule, enlarged 165 billion times. It is made up of 9 spheres linked by tubes; each sphere has two floors for temporary exhibits. The sculpture-like building is 102 meters high. A lift in the central tube carried visitors to the upper sphere in 23 seconds. This vantagepoint offers one of the best panoramic views of Brussels and its surroundings.

    un endroit à ne pas manquer car très imposant et qui surprend par son originalité.

    Cons

    Une visite extérieure suffit. Les expositions à l'intérieur ne sont pas extremement intéressantes. A noter: effectuer la visite intérieure seulement si le temps est dégagé.
