The southern Netherlands were very involved in the art of braid and lacemakng in the 17C and 18C, as this museum proves. The ground floor often holds temporary exhibitions. The room on the first floor is devoted to liturgical clothing. The second floor is the most interesting of all and groups old pieces by school. Here, you will see a lovely lace sail from Lierre (around 1815) and a lace tabernacle canopy from Brussels (Regency).
