Cuisine modern

Menu: 45€/ 98€ - Carte: 90€/106€

Savour real works of culinary art in this manor house overlooking the grounds of the Museum of Contemporary Art! The dishes served here are not only beautifully presented, they are prepared with great finesse, and showcase surprising marriages of flavours.

      Pros

      Pros

The chef is clearly talented, and has a wonderful facility with combining subtle flavors to achieve a very pleasant effect on the palate. Beautiful garden outside of the traditional dining room.

      Cons

Bizarrely understaffed, with one very overwhelmed and unpleasant hostess/waitress, and one well-trained waiter. The aloofness and heavy touch of the waitress made the dinner a little uncomfortable at times. While the courses on the degustation menu were generally agreeable, the chef's unusual emphasis on pureed ingredients throughout was a bit much, leaving us feeling at times as though we were eating Michelen quality baby food. Expensive for the experience.
