This is Belgium's highest peak (694m). Together with the Baraque-Michel station, it lies in the middle of this convex plateau of wild, marshy land, dotted with shaggy tufts of cotton grass. The top of the tower offers a fine panorama. On a clear day, the view stretches beyond the conifers to the north-east, where wood-dotted moors reach as far as Germany towards Roetgen and Aachen.
