The park is located at the southern tip of the island, right in the centre of Liège.The island is surrounded by the River Meuse and a diversion canal. The park is home to the Palais des Congrès, whose long façade is reflected in the river and a cybernetic tower that is 52 m, high, a work by Nicolas Schöffer. A set of vanes show changes in the weather. In the Louis XVI building, located in the heart of the park, lies the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.
