Only the Prisoners' Gate and Zimmer Tower remain from the 14C ramparts. The tower's façade is adorned with an Astronomy Clock (eleven dials) made by Zimmer of Lier in 1930. Every day at noon there is a procession of historical Belgian and Lier clockwork figures on the right side of the tower, which houses an astronomical studio showing the main cosmic phenomena (57 dials).
