Gallo-Roman Museum Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

Bibendum
Tongres, the seat of Ambiorix, chief of the Eburones, is along with Tournai one of Belgium's oldest settlements and one of the richest in archaeological terms. Designed by De Gregorio & Partners, the museum has rich collections from prehistory to the Middle Ages: a curious Gallo-Roman dodecahedron, Merovingian grave goods, pottery, statues, glass, coins and jewellery from the Gallo-Roman era. The main attractions are a huge statue of Jupiter and a bronze oil vessel representing a young Nubian.
