Archeology Museum : Michelin's recommendations

This museum, housed in the former 17C pawnshop, has Gallo-Roman, Merovingian, Prehistoric and Protohistoric exhibits. The Gallo-Roman section features a rich pottery and glassware collection, a 3C-4C lead sarcophagus and a Roman well dug out of a hollow oak tree trunk. In the Merovingian section, note the objects found around the royal tomb of Childeric (excavated in 1653).
