The commune of Uccle is one of the largest in greater Brussels. Its predominantly shady streets with their fine architectural consistency make it a very residential commune, now attracting a population that is comfortably off after being occupied by the nobility for a long time. At n° 3 stands the house of the collector and industrialist Dotremont, built in 1931 by the architect L-H. De Koninck (1896-1984). The geometrical façade is made of reinforced concrete sheets, which was a daring technique in those days.
