This modern museum houses a fine collection of boats, nautical instruments and paintings by artists who worked in Oostduinkerke c 1900, such as Artan, the 19C Belgian painter born in The Hague. A typical fisherman's house was built nearby, as well as a 1920 inn. A lifeboat and shrimp boat are displayed in the courtyard.
