After the junction, you will have a splendid view over the castle and the roofs of Vianden. The upper form a 14-35m deep lake, and the surrounding scenery is stunning. A staircase takes you to a section of the dyke providing an interesting view over the basin and the water tower reached by a foot-bridge. At the bottom of the basins, you will see the eroded plateau that forms the Our valley, planted with Oesling in addition to German hills.
