Heading off from the Emersinde to Echternacht road, the route follows the course of path B. It climbs to the pavilion of the Troosknepchen belvedere (fine views of Echternacht). Follow the signs through beech woods to reach the wolf gorge. At its entrance stands a large pointed rock nicknamed Cleopatra’s needle. A stairway negotiates this impressive crevasse, dropping between two 50m-high rock faces. On exiting, steps lead to view points from where there is a fine view of the River Sûre.
