Jericoacoara Travel guide
Jericoacoara : Michelin's recommendations
If you come upon Jericoacoara, or "Jerri", 310km west of Fortaleza, after 20km of dunes, it won't be by accident. This little village with non-asphalted, sand roads is stretched out along the edge of an immense white-sand beach with astonishingly blue water. The calm, peaceful atmosphere that prevails here is troubled only by the appearance on the water of kiteboarding and windsurfing enthusiasts a few months of the year. Don't resist the temptation to idle by the water's edge, then contemplate the startling colours of the sky from the "Sunset Dune" and the remarkably clear star-studded sky.
