The Terreiro de Jesus, also called Praça XV de Novembro, is extended by the Largo do Cruzeiro. It is the place where you will find the most tourists in Pelourinho. Capoeira rodas are held here before wide-eyed passers-by, there are numerous bars and restaurants, and ambulant vendors selling drinks, beijos, hammocks, necklaces and all kinds of jewellery are never far away. Be sure to visit the staggeringly Baroque Basílica da Sé, and the Igreja and Convento de São Francisco, as well as the Museu Afro-Brasileiro.
