Not far from the Pinacoteca do Estado is the Musea de Arte Sacra, which is devoted to religious art. Here you can admire close to 4 000 pieces originating from all over Brazil, some of which date back to the 16C. The Luz Monastery (1774) in which the museum is housed is the only building in São Paulo of that period to have preserved its original appearance.
