Unmissable tourist site
Tiradentes Travel guide
Tiradentes : Michelin's recommendations
Tiradentes, with its steep cobbled streets, little river, colonial houses, Baroque churches (don't miss Igreja Matriz de Santo Antônio, embellished with a rich gold decor), has managed to hang onto its charm of old, when the city prospered thanks to the success of the mines of Minas Gerais. There is nothing quite like a ride in a cart to take in the village! You can also take the steam locomotive to São João del Rei or go off exploring the waterfalls of Serra São José, although preferably during the week, when there are fewer people.
