Built from the 15C onwards, the Nativity Church includes a nave, a narthex and an outside gallery leading to St-John-the-Baptist's chapel. However, the most remarkable features of the church are the walls which are literally covered with frescoes dating from various periods. The oldest illustrate the Last Judgement, scenes from the Old and New Testament and the futility of Life. Altogether, over 3 000 characters appear on the walls of this sanctuary! Not to be missed: a fine iconostasis carved by masters from Trjavna.
