The Archaeological Museum at Burgas presents a chronological display of objects discovered locally. Particularly interesting are the remains of Thracian civilisation: the statue of a man (5C BC), a vase decorated with Dionysian scenes (4C BC) and a ritual slab illustrating a horseman (2-3C). The Greek and Roman periods are also represented, as well as the two Bulgarian empires (vases, jugs, fragments of mosaic dating from the same period as the Nesebar churches and splendid jewellery).
