The Ethnographical Museum is housed in a fine aristocratic residence, standing at the far end of a garden. The interesting collections are displayed on two floors. The ground floor illustrates life in the city from 1890 onwards through a display of middle-class furniture, belle-époque headgear and costumes. The upper floor houses fabrics, embroidery (looms, clogs...), jewellery and costumes used by kukeri (characters of Bulgarian folk culture), which provide an insight into the wealth of the country's popular traditions. The museum also houses the management team of the Burgas museums.
